What you need:
The Proton Development Suite is designed to operate on a PC platform running Microsoft Windows XP. We do not support other operating systems such as Linux or Mac OS at present. To use Proton Development Suite you will need a PC with at least the following specification:
Processor:233 MHz (500 MHz or higher recommended) RAM: 64MB RAM (128MB or higher recommended) Disk Space: 100MB Free USB: 1 free USB port (for hardware key) Operating System: Windows 98SE, ME, 2000, XP
Please note: Windows Vista and Windows XP 64-bit are not supported.
